BARDIA NATIONAL PARK
(Bardia National Park Tour) Bardia National Park is located in Nepal western plain lands, east of the Karnali River, covering an area of 968 sq.km. It is the largest and most undisturbed protected area in the Terai, home to many endangered species including tiger, wild elephant, rhinoceros, swamp deer, black buck, gharial crocodile, marsh mugger crocodile and genetic dolphin. The enchanting birds found here are Bengal florican, lesser florican, Silver-eared mesia and Sarus Crane. The national park is full of open grasslands and glades making it an ideal place for game-viewing.
This park is famous for elephant safari or jungle drive. During jungle safari or elephant safari you will come across small herds of wild elephants. You will see rhinoceros also in the park. Here you can gain an experience of your life time. While doing the jungle safari you can observe 30 different mammals, more than 250 species of birds, and varieties of reptiles and aquatic animals. For pleasurable sight-seeing you should be in Sukarmala from where you can see the panoramic view of Surkhet valley and the elongating plains of the Terai. Here you will have the opportunity of fishing masher, a large game fish.

After our flight takes off in the Nepalgunj airport, a representative from Visit View Nepal Trek will pick you up and take you to the resort. The park “Bardia National Park” is just about 90 km. far away from the Nepalgunj and it takes around 2 hours’ drive to reach the park. After check-in to the resort, we take an excursion of an original Tharu village, it is believed that the original inhabitants of the local jungle area. Our next attraction will be National Park visitor center and crocodile farm. Overnight in Bardia National Park.
Day 02: Bardia National Park (jungle safari, cultural exposure)
After completing our breakfast, we begin extensive into the woods on foot and we will be lead by nature, guide and porter. This park is home to a no. of wild animals including Asian elephant, spotted deer, one horned rhinoceros, barking deer, swamp deer, wild boar, black buck, leopard, royal Bengal tiger, golden jackal and others. To enjoy with unsuspecting wild-lives we will stop at view towers at different places inside the park. After completing our todays tour we will return back to the resort. We will have our dinner and take part in the traditional Tharu dance.
Day 03: Bardia National Park (float safari, bird-watching, cultural dance program)
Today, first we will visit local village Chisapani, located over the river Karnali. Next, we will do a safari float, embark on our wildlife discovery tour, a pleasant way to experience the wildlife of western Nepal along with the rivers.Throughout the journey we stop at different places to admire the beautiful sub-tropical landscape along with the plentiful wildlife. Catching glimpses of wild animals in the huge river Karnali will be an amazing experience! This river also provide shelter for endangered gharial crocodile, marsh mugger and gangetic dolphins. Furthermore, this trip is also good for bird-watching as there are quite a number of resident and migratory birds in the Bardia National Park. We end the day tour with another Tharu cultural dance program. Overnight in Bardia National Park.
Day 04: Elephant-back Safari, final departure
Today, we set forth on an interesting elephant-back safari after our breakfast. As we all know it will be fun to do a safari but in the mean time we get a chance to see wild animals, since the wild animals are less scared when you’re on the top pf their mammoth friend. Besides, riding, riding the elephant also saves us from any potential attacks by the wild animals. We may see deer, langoor monkeys, boars and rhinos. After the safari, a representative of Visit View Nepal Trek will drop us off at the airport of Nepalgunj.
