Dhulikhel Balthali Hiking

Day 1: Kathmandu to Balthali village

We will drive to Dhulikhel and hike to Balthali Village Resort. We will do a sightseeing tours of Namobuddha. On reaching Resort, welcome drinks will be served with a light snacks. In the evening, we will do a camp fire and you will be served a snacks with a local wine made by the local villagers. Overnight stay at Balthali Village Resort.

Day 2: Balthali Village to Kathmandu.

We will capture a sunrise view. After breakfast, we explore around Balthali village. After lunch at the resort we return towards Khopasi crossing a suspension bridge. We then drive back to Kathmandu.

Namo Buddha is a beautiful and artistic monastery and it has its own religious importance. It is a place where the great prince Semchen Chenpo had sacrificed himself to fulfil the hunger of a tigress, as per the Buddhist mythology. The hungry tigress had just given birth to her young cubs and she was unable to move because of hunger and weakness. It was noticed by the great prince Semchen Chenpo. Unable to see the misery, the price scarified himself in front of the tigress. He willingly became her food to revive her from hunger and weakness. Hence, Namo Buddha monastery is a symbol of generosity and sacrifice.
