Pokhara City Tour
Fewa Lake
As we remember the picturesque Pokhara city, a complimentary name that comes into our mind is the beautiful Phewa Lake. Phewa Lake is an attractive and pleasing place to spend your time in as it is adorned with colorful boats, coffee shops, and shops stalled with books and accessories. On clear weather, the wonderful scene of Annapurna massif and the glimpse of Mt. Fishtail in the undisturbed water of the lake makes the lakeside truly beguiling. You can enjoy boating on the Phewa Lake, also you can visit a temple placed in between the lake known as Barahi temple.
David’s fall
We visit a popular waterfall that lies approximately 2 kilometers southwest of Pokhara. In past, a foreigner named David had accidentally fallen into an underground passage beneath while he was enjoying swimming in Phardi Khola. Since then the waterfall is named David’s fall. The waterfall looks incredible and is a center of attraction for many tourists visiting Pokhara.
Gupteshwor Temple
Our next destination is a mysterious cave that lies near the stunning David’s fall. This cave is odd in the sense it conserves a phallic form of Lord Shiva called Shivalinga. It holds a high value amongst Hindu pilgrims. It is popularly known as Gupteshwor temple (Gupteshwor Gupha) as the Shivalinga lies in the cave. Most of the Hindu pilgrims around the world visit this place with high importance.
Attractions of the Tour
International Mountaineering Museum
International Mountaineering Museum is placed in a gateway to the trekking trail which leads us to the Annapurna region. All the records of successful trekkers who attempted the climb of mountains that rise above eight thousand are listed in the museum. It maintains a record of unique flora and fauna inside the Annapurna Conservation Area. It also keeps a record of all the major human activities inside the Annapurna region. The museum is uniquely designed, and built in the shape of a mountain that lies on the base of Mt. Machhapuchre. The roof of the museum resembles with the peak of the mountains.
We conclude our Pokhara City Tours after visiting the international mountaineering museum. You will be transferred back to your hotel. Hope you had a good time with us.
