Major Attractions
Experience an engaging jungle walking activity and relieve your stress.
We have included a jungle walk among our activities in Chitwan National Park. You may also consider it a brief forest hike to gain closer views of wildlife and plants. The jungle walk is led by an experienced guide who can handle any wildlife encounters. You’ll enjoy a serene and relaxing time.
Set off on a canoe ride and appreciate the stunning landscapes.
The canoe ride is particularly popular in Chitwan National Park. You will navigate along the Rapti River while relishing the magnificent scenery. On this canoe ride, you will have the chance to see birds, crocodiles, and other animals along the riverbanks. All activities in Chitwan are overseen by a qualified guide, who will paddle for you and ensure the activity meets safety standards.
Encounter various wildlife during the Chitwan Jungle Safari.
One of the most celebrated attractions in Chitwan National Park is the Jungle Safari. You can choose to experience it either on a jeep or an elephant. Whichever option you select, the safari will be thrilling and will take you deep into the forest near the animal habitats.
Connect with the indigenous Tharu community.
The Tharus are among Nepal’s indigenous groups, possessing a rich history and ancient cultural heritage. While in Chitwan, we make certain that our guests visit their village to witness traditional clothing the stick dance, and to taste their culinary offerings.
Among their famous dances is the Stick dance, known as Danda Nach in the local language. Likewise, Ago Nach (Fire Dance) and Mayur Nach (Peacock Dance) are also popular cultural displays.
Chitwan National Park features a wide variety of wildlife. Approximately 700 species of wildlife can be observed in this park. There are around 17 kinds of snakes, monitor lizards, and star tortoises that also reside in this park. Chitwan National Park hosts nearly 113 fish species, and in the 1950s, there were nearly 235 gharials, but this number decreased to 38 gharials in 2003. Every year, this place attracts many bird watchers, as there are about 543 recorded bird species, most of which are globally endangered.
Duration of the Jungle Safari in Chitwan
The duration of the Chitwan Jungle Safari depends on your schedule. Generally, the 2-night 3-Day Chitwan Tour Package is the most popular among visitors. This package allows you to discover the National Park at a leisurely pace and offers a chance to partake in all activities. Additionally, there are a few alternative travel options: a 1-night, 2-day package and a 3-night, 4-day plan. The 2-day Chitwan Package is preferred by those with limited time to explore Chitwan National Park. Conversely, the 3-night, 4-day Chitwan Tour package is ideal for those wanting to extend their visit to Chitwan and explore Tharu Villages. The trip can be organised and arranged at your convenience.
Elephant Safari or Jeep Safari in Chitwan
While on the Chitwan Tour, visitors will have the choice between Jeep Safari or Elephant Back Safari. However, we suggest that visitors choose a Jeep Safari Tour in Chitwan rather than riding on an elephant. A Jeep safari allows you to journey deep into the National Park and provides ample time to encounter wildlife. Moreover, Jeep Safari is safer in case of potential wildlife attacks.
