Day 1: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu
Arrive airport at any time, and one of Visit View Nepal Treks representatives will greet you at the airport. You will then be transferred to the hotel for your check-in. The representatives will brief you about the programs upon your arrival. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Fly to Pokhara 255-min, then trek to Tikhe Dhunga (1495m), Duration: 5 hrs.
Early morning, you will take a flight to Pokhara. Pokhara is a beautiful tourism-hub of the country. It is also called the adventure-centre of Nepal. From the city, many mountains like Annapurna, Machhapuchre, Manaslu, and Dhaulagiri can be seen. Pokhara is also famous for its pristine Phewa Lake. On the clear days, the reflection of the Machhapuchre Himal can be seen on the surface of the lake. You can do boating and fishing here.
From Pokhara, we will drive towards Nayapul (2km) passing the Lumle village. After walking 20 minutes from Nayapul, we will reach Birethanti. We will follow the main street of Birethanti and pass through bamboos forest, a large waterfall, and a swimming hole. Cutting across the pasturelands that are mostly used for pony caravans, we will reach the Ramghai village. We will have our lunch here. After that, we will reach Tikhe Dhunga. Overnight stay at guesthouse.
Day 3: Trek to Ghorepani (2850m), Duration: 7 hrs.
You begin your trek across a stream via a suspension bridge from Tikhe Dhunga near the camp site. You then ascends to the steep stone staircase to the Magar village of Ulleri. The stone staircase supposedly has 3300 steps. The trail through the staircase is quite beautiful. Ulleri is situated at an elevation of 2080 meters. From the village, the path continues gently across pasturelands and beautiful cultivated fields of mustard and rice. We walk about an hour’s from Ulleri, we will reach a camp site for a rest and a water stop. Before finally ascending to Nangethanti, the trail continues across two small rivers. We will do our lunch at Nangethanti. During winters, the trail to the village is generally covered by snow. We will climb to Ghorepani at 2850m from Nangethani. Ghorepani offers the spectacular panorama of Annapurna I (8091m), Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Tukuche, Nilgiri, and Tarke Kang (7193m). Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 4: Hike to Poonhill (3210m), then trek to Tadapani (2500m), Duration: 6 hrs.
Early morning we hike to Poon Hill to catch a magnificence sunrise view. From view point, we can enjoy the panoramic view of the entire Annapurna mountain massif. Also, we can notice the surprising occurrence of the changing colors of the mountain as the rays of the sun sweep across their surface. It truly is a beautiful sight. Views of Mount Annapurna South, Fishtail Mountain, Dhaulagiri Mountain, and many others can be observe from here. After spending a moment in Poon Hill, we will return back to Ghorepani. We do our breakfast and continue walking to Tadapani. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 5: Tadapani to Sinuwa (2310m), Duration: 6 hrs.
We will follow a route to the village of Sinuwa. The trail offers a wonderful view of the Upper Modi valley. Continue walking, we ascends to the west bank of the Modi Khola and then passes through the village of Chhomrong. Chhomrong village is situated at a beautiful location at the very base of Himal Chuli. We continue our walk alongside the Chhomrong Khola. We then climb steadily up ahead to Sinuwa further on. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 6: Sinuwa to Deurali (3150m), Duration: 6 hrs.
We will move to Kuldi Ghar and it takes approx. 3 hours of walking time today. There is a clearing in the forest a little further on from where the path goes very steeply down a bank of rocks and then levels out, running through tangle of bamboo at the bottom of the gorge. We continue walking to the west side of the river and we will pass by the pasturelands of Tomo. We then trek along the very neck of the gorge at Barah, where there is a small trail and a shrine. From here the track climbs to the Himalayas. Finally, we shall reach Deurali. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 7: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4210m), Duration: 5 hrs.
Today is a most important day of the trek. We will follow the trail and climb on past the Machhapuchhre Base Camp to the Annapurna Base Camp. This region is also called the Annapurna Sanctuary. It is totally surrounded by mountains and is under the protection of the sanctuary. From Machhapuchre Base Camp it is a two hour trek to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). ABC offers spectacular views of the mountain peaks. You can also experience the wide vastness of snowy topography and close sight of huge mountains. The landscape at the Annapurna Base Camp is spectacular and fascinating, and the snowy landscape of the base camp is very wonderful. The overall view of whole mountain peaks is pretty amazing. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 8: Helicopter Ride to Pokhara and back to Kathmandu
Today is another most anticipated day of the trek. Early morning you will take a helicopter ride back to Pokhara from the base camp. You will be experiencing one of the most amazing helicopter rides. The view of mountains from helicopter ride is something that inspires thrill and excitement. You will notice the dramatic change in the landscape as the snowy lands of the mountains are replaced with forests, green hills, and terrace farmlands. Sometimes, herds of wild goats can be seen from above, running in a group below. The wonderful landscape of the Annapurna territory will amaze you from a bird eye perspective. The panoramic view of the entire terrain presents itself like a beguiling portrait. Finally, we will land at Pokhara. We will then take an afternoon flight back to Kathmandu. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 9: Farewell
Today, at approx. three hours before your scheduled flight, you will be dropped off at the airport by one of Visit View Nepal Treks representatives, from where you will depart, with beautiful memories of the journey.
