Day 1: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu

You may arrive at airport at any time. After your arrival at airport, you will be greeted by one of our airport representative. He will help you get transferred to your Hotel. He will also explain the program further. You can check into the hotel and relax, as there are no planned activities for the day.

Day 2: Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (2652m), Duration: 3 hours

Early morning, we will take a flight to Lukla. The Lukla flight is a thrilling and a lifetime experience in itself. The airstrip is at a high elevation and the difference between the two ends of the runway is about an exceptional 60 meters only! The flight also provides a magnificent views of the approaching distant the Khumbu. Lukla is one of the most popular places for visitors to the Himalayas to arrive. It is situated at an altitude of 2,860 meters. From Lukla we will head towards Phakding. On the way, we are blessed with the beauty of the green Himalayan landscape. The sight of the Kusum Kangraru also makes its appearance along the journey. You will be entering the Dudh Koshi River Valley, while trekking into Phakding. Likewise, the view of the Kusum Kangraru Himal is the first of many Himalayas that you will be encountering on the trip. The name of the mountain – “Kusum Kangraru” means “Three Snow White Gods” in the Sherpa language; a characteristic that refers to the triple summit of the mountain. The route is filled with amazing Himalayan topography and green foliage. Overnight stay at the Yeti Mountain Home in Phakding.

Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m), Duration:  6 hours

We do our breakfast early and begin our trek with a slight climb to Munzu. You will pass through waterfalls and other culturally and naturally occurring sites of interest. You will be walking through beautiful Pine forests as you trek along the mud-trail which is quite steeply uphill.  You can also spot your first glimpse of Mount Everest, Mount Thamserku (6648m), the Kwangde RI (6187m) and Mount Khumbila (5707m) from some point along the trail which surround the natural bowl that Namche sits in. A steep climb up to the beautiful village of Namche Bazaar (3440m) will reward you with further wonderful views of the Himalayan terrain. Namche Bazzar is the gateway to Mount Everest and it is the main trading center of this region. In fact, Nepali and Tibetan traders used to meet at Namche for exchanging dried meat, textiles and salt in ancient times. It is a popular Sherpa town of the Khumbu, mostly famous for its Sherpa culture. Also, it is famous for its amazing beauty and wonderful amphitheater-like town structure lying surrounded by giant Himalayas. Overnight Stay at the Yeti Mountain Home at Namche Bazaar.

Day 4: Namche To Tashinga (3450m), Duration: 2-3 hours

From Namche, we move towards Tashinga and the trail to Tashinga is much more interesting. We will pass chortens, Mani stones and prayer flags along the trail to the village. We will follow a spectacular path that cross around the hillside high above the Dudh Koshi River. We will be walking the classical route to Everest through winding trail for about 2.5 hours. Overnight Stay at the Everest Summit Lodge at Tashinga.

Day 5: Day Excursion To Tengboche Monastery (3860m), Duration: 6-7 hours

Across the valley from the lodge, one can see the trail sloping diagonally up towards the famous monastery of Tengboche. The journey commence with a descent to the small hamlet of Phunki Tanga, beside the Dudh Koshi River. From Phunki Tanga, we will cross a suspension bridge and begin to climb a steep ascent for about an hour.

The trail is quite heavily forested by rhododendron and pine woods, so it is well shaded and cool. You will be strolling under the beautiful canopy of the rhododendron flowers. You can also smell the scent of fresh forest pine lingers in the air. After completing the trail of forest, the trail becomes gentle and gradual for another 1.5 hours, all the way up to the monastery.

The setting of Tengboche is quit magical because the Tengboche Monastery itself is the largest Gompa of the Khumbu and it stands upon a knoll at the end of a big spur, which is flung out across the Imja River. Surrounded by quaintly constructed and oddly medieval-in-appearance satellite dwellings, the monastery provides a grandstand beyond comparison for the finest mountain scenery in the Nepali Himalaya. The temple was burned down a few years ago and re-built largely through the efforts of the Sir Edmund Hillary Trust. After lunch and after exploring the monastery and its surroundings, we will return back to our accommodation. Overnight Stay at the Everest Summit Lodge at Tashinga.

Day 6: Tashinga To Thame Village (3800m), Duration: 5 hours

We begin our trek downhill to the hidden valley of Khumjung, after breakfast. The route leads gently up the shallow valley and onto the Khumjung village. Khumjung village is also known as the education center of Khumbu. Here, we will visit the Khumjung monastery and the Kunde hospital.

It takes about three hours walk to reach the charming village of Thame (3,800m) situated on the old trading route from Tibet. We will walk through the magnificent Himalayan foothill and verdant trans-Himalayan forests. Thame is the birthplace of both Tenzing Norgay and Apa Sherpa (who climbed Everest 21 times). Thame is a dainty mountain village of great delights. You can explore the 16th Century Thame Gompa which can be reached within an hour. This village is at the end of the Khumbu Valley. The terrain and the people of this region are untouched by the effects of modern civilization. The village is also known as the “the village of the Snow Leopard”. Overnight stay at Yeti Mountain Home at Thame.

Day 7: Thame To Phakding (2652m), Duration: 5-6 hours

After a great Himalayan experience at Thame, we will trek to Namche Bazaar and finally to Phakding. We will do our lunch at Namche. We then retract back to Phakding. We will walk through rhododendron and pine forests. We can see the snow covered mountains in distant before arriving at the village. Overnight stay at Yeti Mountain Home.

Day 8: Phakding to Lukla (2800m), Duration: 3 hours

From Phakding, we will trek back to the Lukla village. Today, you will take a beautiful and easy walk through blue pine and rhododendron forest. On the way, you will have a beautiful views of the holy Kusum Kangaru Himal. You can enjoy the local market and have a keen look in traditional lifestyle and customs. Enjoy the last celebrate dinner with your crew member. Overnight stay at Yeti Mountain Home.

Day 9: Fly back to Kathamndu

You will have a 30-minutes amazing scenic flight back to Kathmandu, bidding goodbye to the mountains. Overnight Stay at Hotel Yak and Yeti.

Day 10: Kathmandu Valley Cultural Tours

Today, we will do a cultural tour of the Kathmandu valley. We will visit a Kathmandu Durbar Square, the Swayambhunath Temple, the Bouddhanath Stupa, and the Pashupatinath temple. We begin our tour at around 10 AM and ends about approx. 4 PM. All of the listed sites are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The Swyambhunath Stupa is an admired ancient religious architecture. It is located on the top of a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu city. For the Buddhist Newars of the city, in whose mythological history and origin myth as well as day-to-day religious practice Swayambhunath occupies a central position. It is the most sacred among Buddhist pilgrimage sites, as well as for Tibetans and followers of Tibetan Buddhism all over the world.

Another site, the Pashupatinath Temple, is famous and sacred Hindu temple complex. It is located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. This considerable Hindu temple confines is a sprawling collection of images, ashrams, temples, and inscriptions raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred river. You can see the cremation ceremony of the Hindu people being performed here. Also, you can see many Shadus in colorful and bright attires.

Next, you will explore the Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the largest spherical Stupas in the world. Tibetan merchants have rested and offered prayers here for many centuries.

Likewise, the next destination is the Kathmandu Durbar Square. It holds the palaces of the Malla and Shah Kings who ruled over the city. Along with these palaces, the square surrounds quad, revealing temples and courtyards. The whole complex presents amazing temples and buildings that are decorated with fine architectural beauty done on the doors and windows.  It is also known as Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square. Day 11: Fly to Pokhara, Duration: 30 min. flight

At morning, you will drive to Kathmandu airport and then you will have a short flight to Pokhara. Upon arrival, you may check in at the hotel. You can drive to the World Peace Stupa for the sunset photograph, if the weather favor us. Pokhara city is also known as “the Tourism Hub of the country”, and rightfully so! The city is located right beside the wonderful Phewa Lake. It is also within close proximity with the Annapurna massif. Overnight Stay at Hotel Temple Tree and Spa.

Day 12: Pokhara – Sarangkot – Pokhara Sightseeing

Early morning you will drive to Sarangkot for the sunrise view. Sarangkot, itself is one of the most beautiful villages near the Pokhara city. It is located at the height of 1,592 meter from sea level, on the west of Pokhara. After capturing a moment of sunrise and witnessing the panorama of the mountain ranges of the Annapurna, we will drive back to hotel for the breakfast.

We start Pokhara city tour at 11:00 AM. We will visit the places like the Bindabasini Temple, visit the old Pokhara and the Davis fall. We also visit the world peace Stupa from where we can see the Himalayan ranges and the view of Pokhara valley.  Finally, we will drive back to city for a tranquil boating experience on the pristine Phewa Lake. We will visit the temple of Taal Barahi. Overnight Stay at Hotel Temple Tree and Spa.

Day 13: Pokhara to Kathmandu

At late morning after breakfast, we will fly back to Kathmandu, after which you will transfer back to hotel. Overnight Stay at Hotel Yak and Yeti.

Day 14: Farewell

A representative from the Visit View Nepal Treks will take you to the airport approx. 3 hours before the scheduled flight. From here, you will depart.
