One of the best things I’ve ever done was hike to Everest Base Camp, and our amazing guide, Pravakar(Surya), made it even better. As soon as we started our trek in Lukla, Surya made us feel safe, supported, and encouraged. His friendly attitude, deep knowledge of the mountains, and genuine concern for our safety made a hard walk into an amazing adventure.
The trek was great. Surya told us about the area’s history, shared stories about Sherpa culture, and always seemed to know when we needed help, a break, or just a good laugh. He was the best at being patient and knowledgeable.
The evenings in the teahouses were full of warmth and laughter. Surya made sure we were comfortable, got used to the weather, and enjoyed every minute of the trip.
